Agent Gardiner is a CSIS Agent who is very suspicious of Kiera Cameron and Alec Sadler.

Biography[]

Season 1[]

Gardiner is an agent of CSIS who dropped by the Vancouver Police Department when military grade explosives go missing. The Feds then believe Liber8 to be involved. When he learns from Inspector Dillon that the head of the Liber8 task force in the department, Kiera, is apparently part of Section Six, he becomes suspicious because he has never heard of said task force. He then investigates her, and when a contact tells him that he has not heard of it either, he later tries to confront her when she provides information about a coming attack.

Just when he was drilling her with questions, his supervisor calls him and tells him that he has been in contact with Kiera's commander, Escher, and that he should cooperate fully with her. Embarrassed, he concedes. Later, however, he witnesses Kiera and Alec's miraculous escape from the explosion and Kiera turning invisible and is left to look on in a daze.

Season 2[]

Gardiner has been looking for Kiera since the bombing of the City Plaza. When he finally confronts her, Kiera tells him the truth nonchalantly and, just as she expected, he does not believe her and waves off her claims almost immediately. He then asks about Alec Sadler, whom he had seen with Kiera during the explosion, but they are interrupted by Kiera's former partner, Carlos Fonnegra.

In Split Second, Gardiner manages to convince his superior, Lewis, to make him VPD's liaison on the Liber8 task force again. He expresses his doubts once again on Section Six's existence, and insists that Kiera and Mr. Escher are connected to Liber8 somehow. Later, at the precinct, he makes his suspicions known to Kiera, Carlos and Inspector Dillon regarding Liber8's rescue of Travis Verta, and Kiera's knowledge of the group's actions.

On the other hand, the rest of the team is actually suspicious of Gardiner himself. Dillon later stands up for Kiera when Gardiner finally questions Kiera's alliances out loud. Gardiner leaves just as Kiera does, and confronts her once again about helping set Travis' escape.
